We’re not dead!!

Ok, so it’s been way too long since I’ve updated. So I figured it was about time. We’ve been back from Cornerstone for a little under a week now. It was amazing as always. Though we spent lots of time being Admissions Counselors at our booth during the day, we still managed to have a lot of fun. I don’t know what it is about Cornerstone…but I always get giddy about 5 miles away from the main gate. It happened this year, just like always. We put a Supertones cd in and I started to go crazy! (It’s like Cornerstone starts running through my veins for something!) Anyway, we were there for an entire week…which was awesome. We camped in our usual spot. (Next to a hose…so we could wash our hair!) One of the best parts of the week was getting to speak on mainstage. Yes, that’s right, yours truly got to talk about good ol’ Greenville College in front of thousands of people on mainstage! It was so exciting! They yelled and screamed for me too…it was unbelievable. We got to meet a lot of bands while we were there too. We went backstage several times with Prof. Young (he’s from Greenville too). The best had to be meeting Toby Mac…he’s so nice! (I miss DC Talk…is that wrong!?) Another great part of the week was our decision to support a World Vision Child in Africa. We’ve been wanting to for quite some time, but were waiting for God to give us an “ok”. Well…we got the ok and went for it. We chose an amazing little girl named Jacquie, and we couldn’t be more excited. Even though we don’t have much money, it’s great to know that we’re helping someone else. Anyway, it really was an awesome week. It always amazes me to see so many Christians in one place, all there to worship and lift up God. (If you’ve never gone…you should go!) This week we’ve basically been trying to clean the house and get everything put away from the trip. Last night our sink pipe broke in the midst of doing dishes, so we’re hoping our landlord can come and help get that fixed. Anywho…I’m off to keep on cleaning on! Adios!
