Biggest Fear Ever….

So I’m still in Michigan doing the college fair thing. Today I had a fair at a school in a northwestern burb of Detroit. I got to the area yesterday and made it to my hotel and to a nearby shopping mall as well. I was so proud of myself for conquering the traffic! Tonight, however, was a different story. It was still daylight when I left for the fair tonight and I made it to the school in good time. When it got to be time to leave…I gathered up the directions back to my hotel and started on my way. A good 20 miles or so later, I ended up rather close to downtown Detroit. I had missed my exit on the freeway and couldn’t find another exit to get turned around at. Finally I found an exit and stopped in a scary White Castle parking lot, got out my map, and figured out the way back to my hotel. I managed to get lost not one, but two more times before finally making it back to my hotel. Seriously, one of my biggest fears has always been getting lost…especially in a city. Worry not though…for I am now safe and sound in the confines of the Farmington Hills Radisson Hotel and Suites. What an insane night it was…I’m now crazy-mad homesick for the simplicity of Greenville. I’m getting up early tomorrow morning so I can be back before supper. I can’t wait to be home and to see my hubby! Greenville…..here I come!!!! (Now that’s something that I never thought I’d say!)
